Cada voto se multiplica por un peso de confianza que crece con cada señal de identidad verificada. No es todo-o-nada: la verificación parcial vale menos, la completa más. La idea es honesta y simple — cuanto más demuestras ser una persona real y afectada, más cuenta tu voz.

El peso es aditivo: sumar señales sube el nivel sin tener que volver a votar — solo recalculamos el peso del voto que ya emitiste. Y nunca duplica tu voz: una persona, un voto, deduplicado por hash de identidad del proveedor de verificación, por email y por teléfono.

The weight is additive: adding signals raises your level without re-voting — we simply recompute the weight of the vote you already cast. And it never doubles your voice: one person, one vote, deduplicated by the verification provider's identity hash, by email and by phone.

Aceptar votos anónimos abre una puerta: alguien podría generar miles de cuentas falsas para inflar un bando. La respuesta no es prohibir el anonimato —tiene valor legítimo— sino topar su poder total. El conjunto de todos los votos anónimos nunca pesa más del 1% del total. Llamamos α a ese tope (α = 1%).

Lo elegante es que es autoajustable: cuantos más anónimos votan, menos pesa cada uno, porque el mismo 1% se reparte entre más cabezas. Crear un millón de cuentas falsas no infla el resultado — solo diluye a esas mismas cuentas hasta volverlas irrelevantes. α es ajustable en caliente desde el panel de administración si hiciera falta endurecerlo.

Encima de esta defensa matemática van las capas de Cloudflare: WAF, gestión de bots, límites de tasa multidimensionales y el reto Turnstile, que encarecen cada intento de abuso. Y en modo auditoría vigilamos la coordinación inauténtica —ráfagas de registros, fingerprints repetidos, votos sincronizados— distinguiéndola siempre de la organización ciudadana legítima.

Accepting anonymous votes opens a door: someone could spin up thousands of fake accounts to inflate one side. The answer is not to ban anonymity —it has legitimate value— but to cap its total power. The set of all anonymous votes never weighs more than 1% of the total. We call that cap α (α = 1%).

The elegant part is that it is self-adjusting: the more anonymous voters there are, the less each one counts, because the same 1% is split among more heads. Creating a million fake accounts does not inflate the result — it only dilutes those same accounts into irrelevance. α can be tuned live from the admin panel if it ever needs to be tightened.

On top of this mathematical defense sit Cloudflare's layers: WAF, bot management, multi-dimensional rate limits and the Turnstile challenge, which make every abuse attempt costly. And in audit mode we watch for coordinated inauthentic behavior —registration bursts, repeated fingerprints, synchronized votes— always distinguishing it from legitimate citizen organizing.

En el foro tu nombre real nunca aparece. Al registrarte se te asigna un seudónimo de una lista curada que combina fauna y geografía venezolana y estadounidense —Araguaney, Tepui, Cóndor, Ávila, Sequoia, Yosemite, Denali— con un adjetivo que concuerda en género y número. Puedes regenerarlo, pero no escribir texto libre: así es imposible inventar un nombre ofensivo o suplantar a alguien.

Junto al seudónimo se muestran badges de verificación (★ VE, ★ US, ✓ identidad, anónimo) para que se vea el peso de cada voz sin revelar quién es. Identidad fuerte para pesar; seudónimo para hablar. Las dos cosas conviven sin tocarse.

In the forum your real name never appears. On sign-up you are assigned a pseudonym from a curated list blending Venezuelan and U.S. wildlife and geography —Araguaney, Tepui, Cóndor, Ávila, Sequoia, Yosemite, Denali— with a grammatically agreeing adjective. You can regenerate it but not type free text: this makes it impossible to craft an offensive handle or impersonate someone.

Alongside the pseudonym we show verification badges (★ VE, ★ US, ✓ identity, anonymous) so the weight of each voice is visible without revealing who it is. Strong identity to count; a pseudonym to speak. The two coexist without touching.

Nunca se expone quién votó qué: ni en la web, ni en el foro, ni en los resultados segmentados —solo verás porcentajes y totales ponderados por grupo. Puedes cambiar tu voto cuando quieras; el sistema mantiene un historial de auditoría interno para integridad, no para exhibición.

Minimizamos los datos de identidad: no almacenamos tus documentos —eso lo guarda el proveedor de verificación— solo el veredicto y un hash que evita duplicados. Trabajamos con hashes de email e IP, no con valores crudos. El total tampoco se recalcula a la vista de todos: se mantiene de forma incremental y se sirve cacheado desde el borde, así el sitio es rápido incluso en redes pobres.

Your vote is stored as a single row per account and published only in aggregate. It is never exposed who voted what: not on the site, not in the forum, not in the segmented results —you only ever see percentages and weighted totals per group. You can change your vote anytime; the system keeps an internal audit trail for integrity, not for display.

We minimize identity data: we do not store your documents —the verification provider keeps those— only the verdict and a hash that prevents duplicates. We work with hashes of email and IP, not raw values. The total is not recomputed in public either: it is maintained incrementally and served cached from the edge, so the site stays fast even on poor networks.

Cómo se ordenan los argumentosHow arguments are ranked

Ordenar por apoyo bruto premia lo viejo y entierra lo nuevo. Para evitarlo combinamos dos ideas. Primero, el Wilson score —el límite inferior de un intervalo de confianza, el mismo método de Reddit— que es justo cuando hay pocos votos: un argumento con 8 de 10 votos a favor no salta por encima de uno con 800 de 1.000 solo por azar.

Segundo, un decaimiento por recencia: lo que sigue recibiendo votos se mantiene arriba; lo que se calla baja y deja sitio a lo nuevo. El truco clave es que se decae el orden, nunca el peso del voto ni el conteo real de apoyo — el tally honesto no se toca; el decaimiento solo afecta a cómo se muestran. Sumamos exploración: un slot "fresco" en rotación y un botón "al azar" garantizan que todo argumento tenga visibilidad mínima, rompiendo el rich-get-richer.

La curación es ponderada dentro de cada bando: el peso de confianza ordena qué argumento sube primero, pero nunca entierra al bando contrario —protege a la minoría legítima. Las señales están separadas: ▲/▼ mide utilidad y civilidad (ordena); reportar es moderación (no es desacuerdo). El contenido de baja valoración se pliega, no se borra. Ranking by raw support rewards the old and buries the new. To avoid that we combine two ideas. First, the Wilson score —the lower bound of a confidence interval, the same method Reddit uses— which is fair when there are few votes: an argument with 8 of 10 upvotes does not leap above one with 800 of 1,000 by chance alone.

Second, a recency decay: what keeps getting votes stays up; what goes quiet sinks and makes room for the new. The key trick is that we decay the order, never the vote weight nor the real support count — the honest tally is untouched; decay only affects how things are shown. We add exploration: a rotating "fresh" slot and a "random" button guarantee every argument gets minimum visibility, breaking the rich-get-richer loop.

Curation is weighted within each side: the trust weight orders which argument rises first, but it never buries the opposing side —it protects the legitimate minority. Signals are kept separate: ▲/▼ measures usefulness and civility (it orders); reporting is moderation (not disagreement). Low-rated content is folded, not deleted.
